Vietjet Introduces New Flight Service to Link Innovators from India and Vietnam

Vietjet’s ‘Startup Flight’ Initiative: Bridging India and Vietnam’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystems

Vietjet, known for its innovative spirit and commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, has recently launched an exciting new initiative called ‘Startup Flight’. This program aims to bolster the startup ecosystems of India and Vietnam by connecting bright minds and entrepreneurial talent across these two dynamic nations. This initiative is a collaborative effort with the Amity Innovation Incubator from India and Vietnam’s National Startup Support Center.

A Focus on Innovation in Key Growth Sectors

The ‘Startup Flight’ initiative is designed to support startups operating in four critical and rapidly evolving sectors: Artificial Intelligence and Software, E-commerce and Retail, EdTech (Educational Technology), and Transportation and Logistics. This diverse focus is particularly relevant today, as these areas are at the forefront of technological advancement and digital transformation.

Entrepreneurs from both countries are encouraged to submit their proposals for participation by September 15, 2025. By inviting individuals or teams of up to three, the program fosters collaboration and encourages a diverse range of ideas and solutions tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities within these sectors.

    Mentorship and Investment Opportunities

The selection process for the ‘Startup Flight’ program promises to be competitive and rewarding. Shortlisted entries will benefit from the guidance of leading business mentors from both India and Vietnam. This mentorship is crucial in helping startups refine their ideas, develop robust business plans, and prepare for the rigorous demands of pitching to potential investors.

From the pool of applicants, eight finalist teams—two from each category—will be chosen to participate in the grand finale. This live event will enable these aspiring entrepreneurs to present their business propositions to an audience of impactful investors from the region, showcasing their innovation, creativity, and potential for growth.

    Facilitating Cross-Border Collaboration

One of the unique aspects of the ‘Startup Flight’ initiative is its support for cross-border connectivity. Vietjet’s extensive flight network will facilitate travel between major cities in India—such as Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi—and Vietnam’s innovation hubs in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. This connectivity is vital for fostering an exchange of ideas, culture, and business collaboration, enabling startups to navigate and leverage the strengths of both markets.

The Strategic Importance of the Program

According to Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, the Trade Counselor at the Embassy of Vietnam in India, the ‘Startup Flight’ initiative serves as a strategic bridge to fuel innovation and economic growth within both countries. By nurturing entrepreneurial talent and building partnerships, the program aims to enhance bilateral relations while driving job creation and economic development.

    A Launchpad for Future Entrepreneurs

The ‘Startup Flight’ initiative promises to be a unique launchpad for a new generation of entrepreneurs. By encouraging cross-border innovation and collaboration, the program paves the way for startups from India and Vietnam to grow their businesses on a global stage. This spirit of cooperation not only fosters innovation but also strengthens the ties between two nations rich in culture, heritage, and entrepreneurial spirit.

In a world increasingly characterized by collaboration and interconnectedness, initiatives like ‘Startup Flight’ offer promising prospects for budding entrepreneurs looking to make their mark. By harnessing the strengths of both India and Vietnam, this initiative exemplifies the power of partnerships in driving innovation and economic success.
