    In particular, Thúy Hà, the head of the Việt Nam Trade Promotion Office in Osaka, highlighted the proactive approach taken by Japanese enterprises. After receiving details about the fair, plans were swiftly developed to host delegations from Japan, thereby breaking new ground for cooperation.

    Expanding Vietnamese Presence in Japanese Markets

    Vietnamese goods currently constitute a mere three to five percent of Japan’s total imports, pinpointing a significant opportunity for expansion. Sectors like processing and manufacturing, electronics, and automobiles have ample room for growth. The use of free trade agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) positions Vietnamese products favorably, especially in textiles and footwear, offering advantages in terms of rules of origin.

    Strengthening Supply Chains

    Trade agreements between Vietnam and its counterparts are creating ripple effects across various supply chains, particularly in the electronics and automotive sectors. Currently, RCEP partners supply about 66% of Vietnam’s electronic components, reducing production costs and bolstering competitiveness. This synergy enables Vietnam to solidify its standing as an attractive destination for trade and investment.

    Similarly, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency in the United States is coordinating efforts to invite American companies to participate in the fair. This collaboration aims to bring Vietnamese production capabilities closer to the US business community, laying the groundwork for enduring partnerships.

    The selection process emphasizes quality, targeting sectors where Vietnam and the US can align effectively, such as textiles, footwear, and handicrafts. The goal is simple: foster meaningful business connections that extend beyond mere exhibition participation.

    For instance, Đặng Thị Tươi, a director at CT Group, sees the fair as a platform to showcase core technologies ranging from unmanned aerial vehicles to carbon credit exchanges. The emphasis is not just on presenting products; it’s about signaling a transformative shift in the Vietnamese business landscape toward mastering technology and value chains, encapsulated under the “Made by Vietnam” banner.

    In addition to showcasing innovations, companies like Viet Han High-Tech Manufacturing Plant are focused on fostering real business opportunities. Nguyễn Bá Đoàn, the sales director, emphasizes the aim to secure concrete orders that will catalyze production growth and enhance competitive dynamics. This aligns with the overarching desire for the fair to be a launching pad for Vietnam’s ambitious economic growth plans, reinforcing the importance of immediate, actionable connections.
