HCM City Welcomes International Logistics Expo

    ### The Việt Nam International Logistics Exhibition 2025: A Hub for Innovation

HCM CITY — The 3rd Việt Nam International Logistics Exhibition (VILOG 2025) is making waves in HCM City, running from July 31 to August 2. This event serves as a platform where cutting-edge advancements in logistics technology are prominently displayed. From automation to artificial intelligence and IoT-driven supply chains, the exhibition is a testament to the future of logistics in Vietnam and beyond.

    ### A Glimpse of the Exhibition

Attracting nearly 350 enterprises from 20 different countries and territories, VILOG 2025 features an impressive 480 exhibition booths. The theme this year, “Digital Transformation and Partnership for Green Logistics,” highlights the critical role of technological solutions and collaborative efforts in building a more sustainable and effective logistics sector. It underscores the global shift toward eco-friendly practices that align with modern commerce.

    ### The Vision of Industry Leaders

During the opening ceremony, Đào Trọng Khoa, president of the Việt Nam Logistics Business Association, spoke passionately about Vietnam’s evolving role as a logistics service hub in the Asia-Pacific region. According to Khoa, the logistics industry faces increasing scrutiny from international integration policies and regulations. These developments are urging Vietnamese enterprises to elevate their standards and reduce carbon emissions in their operations, forming a pathway toward sustainable supply chain practices.

Khoa emphasized that integrating technology and nurturing partnerships are essential for fostering sustainable growth. He pointed out that digital transformation isn’t just a buzzword; it directly translates to enhanced operational efficiency and reduced environmental impact. By adopting smart logistics solutions, businesses are positioning themselves to minimize resource wastage and build a resilient network that supports eco-friendly initiatives.

    ### Government Perspectives on Logistics Development

Trần Thanh Hải, deputy director general of the Agency of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, highlighted the collective efforts of various stakeholders in the logistics sector. He noted that Vietnam’s logistics industry is experiencing impressive growth, boasting an annual growth rate of over 14-16%. This sector contributes around 4-5% to the national GDP, positioning the country as a formidable player within ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific region.

Hải attributed these achievements to strong governmental support, the involvement of dedicated ministries, local authorities, and the relentless efforts of the logistics business community. However, he acknowledged that challenges still linger. High logistics costs compared to regional averages, fragmentation among enterprises, and slow adoption of cutting-edge technologies pose hurdles that need to be addressed for continued growth.

    ### Learning and Networking Opportunities

In addition to showcasing innovations, VILOG 2025 offers a rich program of activities designed to foster knowledge exchange and networking. Attendees can participate in a variety of specialized seminars and panel discussions that delve deeper into industry topics. The 1:1 Business Matching Programme allows for personalized networking opportunities, while VILOG Talk provides exhibitors with a platform to present their services and innovations.

This year’s exhibition has seen participation from numerous international logistics promotion organizations and associations, including the World Cargo Alliance, China International Freight Forwarders Association, and many more. This diverse attendance reflects the global interest in Vietnam’s logistics landscape and the potential for partnerships that can propel the industry forward.

    ### The Venue and Structure

Co-organized by the Việt Nam Logistics Business Association and VINEXAD Company, VILOG 2025 is taking place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, a strategic location that facilitates easy access for domestic and international attendees. The exhibition runs until August 2, making it a prime opportunity for industry stakeholders to engage in fruitful discussions and explore the latest solutions in logistics.

The focus on green logistics and digital solutions at VILOG 2025 not only showcases Vietnam’s dedication to innovation in the logistics sector but also emphasizes the global trend toward sustainability in supply chains. With a concerted effort to harness technology and build cooperative frameworks, the future of logistics in Vietnam looks promising.

    ### The Future of Logistics in Vietnam

As VILOG 2025 unfolds, it sets a strong foundation for not just technological advancement but also a cultural shift toward prioritizing sustainability and efficiency. The exhibition serves as a timely reminder of the vital role logistics plays in our interconnected world, where every advancement is a step toward a greener, more collaborative future in the industry.
