Vietnam SuperPort™, a groundbreaking collaboration between Singapore’s YCH Group and Vietnam’s T&T Group, is at the forefront of revolutionizing the logistics landscape in Vietnam. The recent unveiling of a suite of AI-powered digital solutions at the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2025 (VIIE 2025) has drawn significant attention, showcasing the potential for improved logistics operations, enhanced connectivity, and a substantial push towards sustainability.

    Leadership Engagement

At the VIIE 2025, the Vietnam SuperPort™ booth welcomed prominent figures, including General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Their visit underscored the importance of these initiatives for national logistics and trade infrastructure, providing leaders with insights into ongoing projects aimed at digital transformation.

    Innovative AI Solutions

One of the most exciting developments introduced was the integration of next-generation AI technologies at the Off-Airport Cargo Terminal (OACT). In partnership with tech giants like Google and Kyndryl, along with backing from the Singapore Government, the SuperPort has crafted an AI-driven document authentication system. This innovative solution automates the verification process for cargo documents, significantly enhancing both efficiency and security in cargo handling.

Additionally, AI will be leveraged to improve security measures, enabling scanners to identify prohibited or dangerous goods. This reduces the need for manual inspections while ensuring compliance with stringent international regulations.

    A Comprehensive Logistics Marketplace

The vision for Vietnam SuperPort™ extends beyond automated processes; it aims to create a unified logistics marketplace. This platform, supported by Vietnam Post Logistics and global financial partners such as Techcombank and Visa, strives to serve small and medium enterprises. The goal is to provide an all-encompassing ecosystem for users, facilitating processes from order placements to payments, as well as integrating services like order tracking, bonded warehouse connections, and transport scheduling.

This initiative is poised to streamline customs processes and improve cash flow, empowering Vietnamese businesses to expand their reach into the international market.

    Advancing Automation with Robotics

In collaboration with Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Vietnam SuperPort™ is ushering in a new era of automation. The project plans to introduce cutting-edge robotics to the OACT, which includes the deployment of Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotic loaders, and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). These technologies are anticipated to bolster productivity and optimize cargo operations significantly.

    Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is a core component of Vietnam SuperPort™’s vision. The company has set an ambitious target to become Southeast Asia’s leading net-zero multimodal logistics hub by 2040. To meet this goal, they are developing sophisticated methodologies for carbon auditing, employing blockchain and AI technologies to accurately measure and mitigate emissions. This initiative aligns with Vietnam’s broader Green Growth Strategy, emphasizing the importance of environmentally sound practices in development.

This focus on workforce development is crucial for enhancing the overall competitiveness of Vietnam’s logistics sector.

    Strategic Vision

According to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, the initiative strives to not just be a logistics hub but to establish itself as a pioneer in smart, connected, and sustainable logistics. The goal is to empower businesses, bolster Vietnam’s role in global supply chains, and foster greener trade practices that support regional integration.

Spanning 83 hectares in Phu Tho Province, Vietnam SuperPort™ symbolizes a significant leap towards decreasing logistics costs and enhancing the country’s integration within global supply chains. The collaboration of YCH Group and T&T Group highlights a commitment to sustainable development, driven by a vision of leveraging advanced technologies and clean energy for future growth.
