A New Dawn for Sustainable Manufacturing: The Changshin Factory Rooftop Solar Initiative

In a significant move towards enhancing sustainability within the manufacturing sector, SPEV Sustainability Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Changshin Dong Nai Co., Ltd. have announced their partnership to implement a rooftop solar power system at the Changshin factory. This initiative marks a pivotal milestone in Changshin’s commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
The Signing Ceremony: A Collaborative Commitment
On March 5, 2026, the contract-signing ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including senior officials, technical teams, and operational staff from the involved companies. This gathering underscored Changshin’s long-term vision of transitioning to clean energy. The focus was not only on immediate commercial interests but also on the holistic long-term strategy towards promoting sustainability in its manufacturing processes worldwide.
Shifting Towards Green Energy
Kim Si Jung, a representative from Changshin, emphasized the importance of renewable energy as a part of the company’s strategic overhaul. With regions worldwide tightening their environmental regulations, adopting renewable energy solutions is becoming more critical. Changshin aims to minimize its reliance on conventional energy sources, illustrating a proactive approach to green manufacturing and sustainable operations in Vietnam.
Joint Commitment to Sustainability
Nguyen Thanh Phat, representing SPEV Sustainability, pointed out that this agreement transcends mere commercial partnership. The agreement signifies a deeper partnership focused on reducing carbon emissions and advancing toward carbon neutrality. Both parties are committed to ensuring the project meets high technical standards and operational safety, a crucial factor considering the project’s ambitious nature and scale.
Project Scope: Phases and Capacity Goals
The rooftop solar power initiative is set to kick off with an installation capacity of 1.25 megawatts peak (MWp). Depending on the project’s progress and future renewable energy strategies, there are plans for subsequent phases that aim to expand capacity beyond 30 MWp. This phased approach enables the optimization of performance and investments, ensuring a smoother adoption of cleaner electricity across Changshin’s operations.
Role of Nuriflex Vietnam: Engineering and Digital Solutions
As the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor, Nuriflex Vietnam will oversee all project implementations. Their responsibilities include coordinating engineering efforts and managing construction activities. Moreover, Nuriflex is advancing a broader strategy focused on energy digitalization, incorporating a Factory Energy Management System (FEMS) that allows for real-time monitoring and energy consumption optimization within industrial settings.
Vision for Energy Independence
Nuriflex is also in the process of developing Virtual Power Plant (VPP) capabilities, which will centralize energy dispatch using data-driven analytics platforms. With a proven track record of managing over 100 MWp of solar capacity in Vietnam, Nuriflex exemplifies expertise in renewable energy management for industrial entities.
Building a Digitized Energy Network
Through collaborations with various industrial parks and manufacturing partners, Nuriflex strives to create a digitized energy network aimed at elevating smart energy management solutions across Vietnam. This endeavor not only supports individual facilities but also contributes to a broader movement towards sustainable energy practices in the region.
A Model for the Future
The partnership between SPEV Sustainability, Changshin Dong Nai, and Nuriflex Vietnam is set to inspire other entities within the manufacturing sector. This collaboration illustrates a robust model for accelerating renewable energy adoption, portraying a clear roadmap for similar initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency and adhering to stringent ESG standards.
By harnessing the power of solar energy, the Changshin factory initiative underscores the collective shifts occurring within the industrial landscape towards sustainable development. The partnership serves as a beacon for future projects aiming to align economic growth with environmental stewardship.
