Joining Dragon Capital in 2010, he initially served as the chief economist, eventually advancing to roles such as head of research, deputy Chief Investment Officer (CIO), and co-portfolio manager of the IPO/Placing Platform. His ascent to CIO in January 2023 marked a significant milestone in his career, showcasing his capability and commitment to the firm’s success.
Tuan holds an MBA from Willamette University and a PhD in economics from Pennsylvania State University, qualifications that underpin his deep understanding of economic landscapes, both globally and within Vietnam’s emerging markets. Beat Schuerch leaves behind a significant legacy at Dragon Capital, having been instrumental in its growth since he joined the firm in 2010 as Chief Operating Officer. Schuerch’s impressive career trajectory includes his stint as CFO at Indochina Capital and ultimately leading Dragon Capital as CEO since December 2017.
His educational background includes a master’s degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, a credential that reflects his strong analytical capabilities and business acumen. Throughout his tenure, Schuerch has played a crucial role in shaping Dragon Capital’s investment strategies and portfolio management across various sectors.
