Breaking New Ground: KCN Vietnam’s An Phat Project in Hai Phong

HAIPHONG, Vietnam — On October 2, 2025, KCN Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company officially broke ground on the KCN An Phat project, an ambitious venture that highlights the company’s strategic push into the Northern Key Economic Region. As one of Vietnam’s leading industrial property developers, KCN Vietnam aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality industrial spaces, aligning its efforts with the government’s vision for sustainable economic development.

A Prime Location for Industrial Growth

The KCN An Phat project is strategically positioned within the An Phat High-Tech Industrial Park, previously located in Hai Duong City. Spanning 8.9 hectares, the site will feature over 60,000 square meters of leasable space, including a mix of high-quality, ready-built factories and warehouses. Notably, KCN Vietnam will introduce innovative two-story factory models, catering to a diverse range of businesses from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to multinational corporations. This flexible approach allows for factory sizes starting from 1,000 square meters, ensuring that operational needs are met efficiently. The completion of the project is slated for the second quarter of 2026.

    Supporting FDI and SMEs

As Vietnam continues to elevate its stature as a prime destination for foreign direct investment (FDI), the KCN An Phat project positions itself at the forefront of this initiative. As of August 31, 2025, Vietnam recorded FDI capital reaching USD 26.14 billion, a remarkable increase of 27.3% year-on-year. Efforts from the government are focused on attracting investments by providing supportive measures like tax incentives and facilitating digital transformation for SMEs. This creates a robust ecosystem that lures international investors, especially in technology sectors.

The Significance of Hai Phong’s Merger

The recent merger of Hai Duong into Hai Phong has further solidified the city’s strategic role within the Hanoi–Hai Phong–Quang Ninh economic triangle. The former Hai Duong area now serves as a critical link connecting Hanoi’s capital region with Hai Phong’s bustling seaport and Quang Ninh’s diverse industrial base. Modern infrastructure developments, including National Highway 5A and the Hanoi–Hai Phong Expressway, enhance this connectivity, creating seamless access to major industrial provinces such as Bac Ninh and Hung Yen. This enhanced access has propelled Hai Phong to the third position nationwide in FDI attraction, with plans targeting an additional USD 3 billion in investment by year-end.

KCN Vietnam’s Vision for the Future

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Hardy Diec, Chief Operating Officer of KCN Vietnam, emphasized the commitment of the KCN An Phat project to attract high-quality FDI and develop a sustainable industrial ecosystem. By introducing two-story factories and adaptable units designed specifically for smaller enterprises, KCN Vietnam aims to optimize efficiency and keep costs manageable for investors. This initiative reinforces Vietnam’s growing reputation as a premier destination for high-value manufacturing.

The Commitment to Sustainable Industrial Growth

The KCN An Phat project is not just a strategic commercial endeavor; it represents a pivotal milestone in KCN Vietnam’s ongoing journey towards enhancing the role of Vietnam in the global supply chain. The company remains dedicated to attracting high-quality capital investment while promoting sustainable industrial practices. Through high-quality construction and comprehensive customer service, KCN Vietnam is poised to deliver exceptional industrial solutions that empower businesses and foster lasting value.
