KCN Vietnam Group Breaks Ground on KCN An Phat Project in Hai Phong

HAIPHONG, Vietnam – On October 2, 2025, KCN Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, a key player in the industrial property sector, took a significant step forward by breaking ground on the KCN An Phat project. This endeavor represents a critical milestone as part of the company’s expansion strategy within Vietnam’s Northern Key Economic Region, specifically in Hai Phong.

Location and Scope of the KCN An Phat Project

The KCN An Phat project is strategically located within the An Phat High-Tech Industrial Park, which was previously situated in Hai Duong City. Spanning 8.9 hectares, the project boasts over 60,000 square meters of leasable space—specifically designed to include high-quality, ready-built factories and warehouses. This new venture marks an innovative approach for KCN Vietnam, which will introduce two-story factory models for the first time. In addition to these models, the project will offer customizable factory sizes, catering to both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger multinational companies. Scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026, the KCN An Phat project aims to attract new-generation foreign direct investment (FDI) while contributing to the sustainable industrial growth of Hai Phong.

A Growing FDI Landscape in Vietnam

Vietnam is increasingly recognized as an attractive destination for foreign direct investment. As of August 31, 2025, the country recorded an impressive USD 26.14 billion in registered FDI capital—an upsurge of 27.3% compared to the previous year. Government initiatives aimed at bolstering SMEs—including tax incentives and resources for digital transformation—are cultivating a robust ecosystem that appeals to international investors, particularly in high-tech sectors.

    Strategic Importance Post-Merger

The recent merger of Hai Duong into Hai Phong has enhanced the strategic significance of the city in the economic triangle that includes Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh. Specifically, the former Hai Duong area serves as a crucial link that connects the capital region of Hanoi with Hai Phong’s bustling seaport and Quang Ninh’s industrial base. This geographical advantage is complemented by modern transportation infrastructure, including National Highway 5A and the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway, facilitating seamless connectivity with key industrial provinces such as Bac Ninh and Hung Yen. Hai Phong currently ranks third nationwide in terms of FDI attraction, with a targeted goal of securing an additional USD 3 billion in investments by year-end.

KCN Vietnam’s Commitment to Sustainable Development

“KCN An Phat represents our commitment to supporting Hai Phong in attracting high-quality FDI and developing a sustainable industrial ecosystem,” stated Mr. Hardy Diec, Chief Operating Officer of KCN Vietnam. “Our introduction of new product types, including two-story factories and flexible units tailored for SMEs, aims to optimize efficiency and cost for investors. This initiative further reinforces Vietnam’s standing as a top destination for high-value manufacturing.”

    Long-Term Vision for Industrial Growth

The KCN An Phat project is not just a business venture; it signifies KCN Vietnam’s long-term commitment to enhancing Vietnam’s role in the global supply chain while attracting high-quality investments. The company’s focus on quality construction and comprehensive customer service ensures that they deliver exceptional industrial solutions, thereby empowering investors and driving lasting value.
